It has been a true pleasure celebrating KEM’s 10th year in operations, reinforcing our dedication to supporting the warfighter. To highlight #KEM10, we have featured our valued Strategic Partners who are integral parts of the team.

To close out a successful anniversary year, it is a privilege to highlight the final Strategic Partner of the campaign, Adaptive Cargo Solutions (ACS). They are a key asset to the team.

#KEM10 November Highlight | Dave Creasy

As we near 2019, KEM continues to highlight its various Strategic Partners who contribute to bettering and strengthening our mission to support the warfighter. Join us in recognizing the superior value created by our strategic partners as key members of our team in our ongoing celebration of #KEM10 – KEM’s 10th year in operations.

KEM is proud to welcome Mr. Dave Creasy of Vienna, VA to our valued network of strategic partners. Dave’s extensive knowledge of remote sensing satellite operational collection capabilities within the space information domain adds an invaluable layer of expertise to our consulting team.

His career with the US Navy spans 37 years, which included 20 years of active duty service and 17 years following retirement as part of the Navy staff in the Pentagon.  His significant career achievements include:

  • Developed onboard targeting capability for the F/A-18 Super Hornet for GPS-Guided Weapons; expansion of the operating parameters of multiple National and Commercial Satellites permitting them to provide Open Ocean Surveillance to the US Navy fleet & maritime analytical organizations.
  • Drafted the first comprehensive requirements document which outlined detailed collection parameters to support Open Ocean Surveillance from space-based satellite systems.
  • Developed a ground architecture which permits commercial imagery satellites to provide a vessel detection capability in an operationally time-relative fashion to the US Navy fleet.

Mr. Creasy reflects on joining the KEM team,

Our July feature is Mr. Jim Boyle, of JFBoyle Associates LLC – Jim operates a Veteran-Owned Small Business, which provides independent consulting services to clients using lessons learned for compliance approvals for licensing of technology, protection of intellectual property, and competitive discrimators for small business.

Mr Boyle’s experiences with major Aerospace and Defense contractors includes the transfer of technology and offset management for countries in Europe, Middle East and Asia. His active duty and reserve experiences included enlisted time as an aviation electronics technician at the squardron and intermediate levels of maintenance and competitively selected for direct commissioned Navy Intelligence Officer.”

Ken Miller, CEO of #KEM, Presents at 2018 Zodiac Aerospace Defense Seminar

As a team, KEM has been proud to attend the Zodiac Aerospace Defense Seminar in the past. This year, it was held at the Army and Navy Club of Washington, D.C. over the span of two days, May 8th and 9th.

Ken Miller, CEO of KEM, was chosen as a speaker at 2018’s Seminar, presenting on Best Practices for Approaching Primes for System Sales and Partnerships to the U.S. and French executive teams of both Zodiac Aerospace and Safran

  • Zodiac Aerospace is a world leader in aerospace equipment and systems for commercial, regional and business aircraft, as well as helicopters and space applications.” – zodiacaerospace.com

#KEM Congratulates Jeff Bezos and His Blue Origin New Shepard Team’s Win at the Robert J. Collier Trophy Dinner

KEM and Associates congratulates Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin space venture for the New Shepard reusable launch system Team’s success in winning The National Aeronautic Association’s (NAA) prestigious Robert J. Collier Trophy.  

The award is “for the greatest achievement in aeronautics or astronautics in America, with respect to improving the performance, efficiency, and safety of air or space vehicles, the value of which has been thoroughly demonstrated by actual use during the preceding year.”

KEM executive team members, Ken Miller and Denise Holmes, were commending Mr. Bezos and team at the Robert J. Collier Trophy Dinner honoring the Blue Origin New Shepard on June 16, 2017 at the Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City, in Arlington, Virginia.

#KEM Salutes Secretary of Defense Mattis

Congratulations to General James Mattis, our 26th Secretary of Defense (SecDef).  Welcome, Sir!

#KEM is committed to working with our strategic partners to support the new administration by helping to ensure a smooth transition, strengthen national security, build U.S. alliances, and safeguard military readiness, now and in the future.

By a 98-1 vote, the Senate Armed Services Committee confirmed retired Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis to be the 26th SecDef , followed by Vice President Michael R. Pence administering his oath of office on 20 January 2017.  Secretary James Mattis arrived at the Pentagon for his first full day of office on January 21, 2017.

#KEM Celebrates USAF’s 69th Birthday at Air Force Association’s Air, Space & Cyber Conference (#ASC16)

The #KEM team was excited to honor the U.S. Air Force’s 69th birthday by attending The Air Force Association’s Air, Space and Cyber Conference, September 19-21, 2015 at the National Harbor, Maryland.

Air, Space & Cyber Theme:  Airmen, Industry, and Allies – A Global Security Team

We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with our friends in Air Force leadership and industry, academia & aerospace partners to work innovative solutions focused on #KEM Domains of space, cyber, and missile defense  as “A Global Security Team” addressing critical issues and challenges currently facing the U.S. warfighter and the aerospace market.

One highlight of the event included the aircraft naming of B-21 stealth bomber as Raider as a tribute to the 1942 Doolittle Raid on Tokyo in World War II with one of the Doolittle Raiders, Lt. Col. Richard Cole (101-years old), on stage with Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James during the announcement.
